Junior Cricket

Junior Cricket is split into the following age groups:

  1. U11 League – The U11 League is split into 3 pools comprising of 25 teams who please each other once in an 8-a-side pairs cricket format between September and December.
  2.  U11 Championship – Based on the results in the U11 League the U11 Championship is split into three divisions, a hard ball and two soft balls divisions. This is designed to increase the amount of Cricket played by the U11 age group.
  3. U13 League – The U13 League is split into two divisions, the Premier division and the Elite division with 7 and 8 teams respectively. The teams in each division play each other once at KGV and PKVR Reservoir with a winner of each league decided after the conclusion of one round. There is no promotion/relegation due to the changes in standard of each team across years.
  4. U15 League – The U15 League is split into two divisions, the Premier division and the Elite division with 7 and 6 teams respectively. The teams in each division play each other once at a variety of grounds across Hong Kong depending on availbility with the two highest place teams in the Premier division playing off for the title of Champions. The lowest place team in the Premier division will be relegated and the two highest placed teams in the Elite division play off to gain promotion into the top flight. 
  5. U17 League – The U17 League is split into two divisions, the Premier division and the Elite division with 6 and 5 teams respectively. The teams in each division play each other once at a variety of grounds across Hong Kong depending on availbility with the two highest place teams in the Premier division playing off for the title of Champions. The lowest place team in the Premier division will be relegated and the two highest placed teams in the Elite division play off to gain promotion into the top flight.
