2017-18 CHK Annual Awards Cocktail Evening

The Regal Oriental Hotel played host for the 2017-18 Cricket Hong Kong Annual Awards Cocktail evening on Friday the 22nd of June 2018.  The Oriental Ballroom was full to the brim with nearly 250 Cricket lovers in attendance to celebrate both individual and team successes across the season.

The night began with some terrible jokes from MC Matt Stiller, thankfully he was rescued by Chairman of Cricket Hong Kong, Dr John Cribbin who stepped in and spoke about the successes from the season gone and what we can look forward to next season, including various forms of modified Cricket including Tape Ball and Indoor Cricket as well as the opening of our new ground, Gin Drinkers Bay.  Secretary of Cricket Hong Kong, Mr Jonathan Cummings then spoke about the upcoming HK Sixes and the HKT20 Blitz and what it means for local players and the broader commercial picture.  Finally, National Men’s Head Coach, Mr Simon Cook spoke to the audience about the upcoming International fixtures and gave an insight to the many juniors in attendance on their role in securing Hong Kong’s future amongst the associate Cricket nations.
