Career Opportunity - High Performance Manager

Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) is the governing body for cricket in Hong Kong and is responsible for the development, performance and growth of cricket in Hong Kong.

In the newly-created role of High Performance Manager you will be a key member of the management team with responsibility for the design, evolution and successful implementation of CHK’s High-Performance Strategy. The role will attain alignment and a commitment to implement this plan across a talented and professional team of coaches, players and staff.

The role will play a pivotal role in leading CHK high-performance system and team responsible for the delivery of its high-performance program across senior (men and women) and all pathway levels. This non-coaching role has been designed to support player and coach performances and results through effective creation and delivery of a strategic plan, developed in cooperation with the Senior Head Coach, Head Coaches and key partners to achieve CHK’s vision of success.

You will have experience in management within an elite sport including player recruitment, list management and talent identification. You will be a dynamic leader with an ability to build positive and collaborative relationships and credibility with elite level players, coaches and stakeholders.

Proven business acumen and demonstrable business skills including planning, budgeting and leading successful change management programs are also required.

A passion for excellence is key, as is a demonstrated track record of success in a competitive environment as a motivator of elite athletes, coaches and support staff. As a highly effective communicator and leader, the successful candidate will be energetic and resilient with an ability to influence at all levels. A solid understanding of ICC Associate Member cricket and the Hong Kong sporting landscape will be highly regarded but is not essential. The expected position is expected to be in place by April 2019.
