Domestic Cricket Preview - 29th and 30th December 2018 and 1st January 2019

As we enter the final weekend of 2018, we see a handful of games being played to wrap up an eventful year. We also have game set to take place on Jan 1st to welcome in 2019. Read on to find out more.

On Sunday we have two Division 2 games taking place.  The unbeaten KCC Infidels continue their charge at promotion when they face the DLSW DTC Mobile team over at KCC. DLSW DTC have had a rough season so far, and both sides will look to end this year on a high note. Meanwhile the SLCC Tritons play KMF Vagabonds at Mission Road. The Tritons lost handily the first time these two sides faced this season, and will be looking to avenge that, while KMF will look to keep building on what has been a successful season for them thus far.

Then on Tuesday Jan 1st, we kick the new year off with a Division 1 clash between DLSW JKN and USRC/MCC Elite at Mission Road. DLSW JKN currently sit second in the table, and will need another win here to keep the pressure on the unbeaten KCC Templars. Meanwhile USRC/MCC will be hoping the new year will bring a change in fortune, as they have yet to secure a win this season.

Saturday sees just one game take place, with the KCC Tartars playing host to PACC Championship at KCC. PACC are coming off a successful week, winning the FITCH U19 Championship, the Quaid I Azam Cup, and their most recent Saturday and Sunday games. They will want to end the year on a high note, while the 8th placed Tartars aim to play spoil sport and pick up a much-needed victory.

Just one Junior game is set to take place this weekend, with the unbeaten Lantau U17 Lions playing LMC U17 in an Elite Division 35 Over game at Mission Road on Saturday morning. Lantau have all but secured their spot in the finals, while LMC are yet to cement theirs. A win could go a long way for LMC, but they’ll have to topple a strong outfit for it.

As we head into 2019, we would like to wish everyone the best for the year to come!
