In Division 1 we see a pair of exciting match ups take place. At PKVR Park, USRC/MCC Elite and DLSW JKN run it back, facing each other again just 5 days after their thrilling final-ball encounter at Mission Road on Jan 1st. USRC/MCC Elite held their nerve to emerge victorious by just 3 runs for their first win of the season. They’ll be looking to continue this winning form, while JKN will be hungry for revenge. And at HKCC, the Scorpions face of against PACC Elite. Both these sides faced each other in the opening fixture of the season, with the Scorpions emerging victorious by 32 runs. and PACC will be looking to avenge this loss, and secure their position as second in the table in the process.
In Division 2, DLSW DTC Mobile will look to bounce back from a tough loss by facing the HKCC Optimists, who are in a must-win scenario if they want to keep their hopes for promotion alive.

Saturday Championship

Five Saturday League games are scheduled to take place as the season resumes in full swing. Three games will take place in Division 1. At HKCC the KCC Crusaders take on the HKCC Nomads in an exciting mid-table scrap, with both sides having picked up 3 wickets this season thus far. At KCC, the KCC Tartars will look to continue their winning form by making it 2-0 when they face DLSW Sarjan for the second time this season. Sarjan sit 3rd in the table, and will look for a strong start to 2019. And at GDB, Lamma CC will take on CCC Jing Sun in a bottom of the table clash, with both sides needing a win to avoid relegation.
In Division 2, an impressive Kai Tak outfit will look to continue their strong season against the Centaurs at Mission Road, while table toppers HKCC Witherers play CCC Hung See at PKVR Park. Both the Witherers and Kai Tak are looking set for promotion, and this weekend will go a long way to securing that.

The Women’s League resumes with three games over this weekend, as all six teams return to action. At KCC, the Maidens play host to the SCC Divas, and will be looking for an emphatic win as they continue their charge to the top of the table. Meanwhile at PKVR Reservoir, the unbeaten DLSW Wasps will face 2nd placed HKCC Cavaliers at 8 AM, after which 4th placed CCC Fung Wong take on defending champs HKCC Willow Wielders. With competition being tight at the top of the table, this weekend’s results could see a real shake up in the rankings.

On Saturday Morning at Mission Road, the KCC U17s take on the USRC/MCC U17s in a Premier Division 35-over clash. Both teams are yet to win a game this season, and so this weekend presents an excellent opportunity for them to start the new year on a positive note.
Then on Sunday we have a pair of Elite Division 35 over games at GDB – the last group stage games before the finals. The DLSW Cheetahs face the unbeaten Lantau Lions, while LMC play the DLSW Lions. Lantau have secured their spot in the finals, while the DLSW Cheetahs will need to beat them to secure theirs. A loss for DLSW Cheetahs gives LMC a chance to qualify, but there is a substantial NRR difference between the two sides that they will need to overcome as well.

Two Premier Division games are scheduled for this coming Sunday. The DB Smashers White play host to the HKCC Scorpions at Discovery Bay, with both sides sitting near the bottom half of the table, while last-placed LMC take on 4th placed DLSW Cheetahs at KGV. In the Elite Division, table-toppers India Club Green face the DLSW Littles this Saturday at PKVR Reservoir, and 2nd placed DLSW Tigers play Lantau Lions at KGV.
