Wednesday May 30, 2018 marks the date of our Inaugural Day of Gender Equality – a gender equality summit and cricket match held in conjunction with the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network and naming rights sponsor 23 Capital.

This will be the first time the Sir Paul Getty XI fields a women's cricket team having invited the FairBreak Global XI to play this inaugural match.

Mariko spoke about the opportunity saying, “I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to showcase the level of cricket associate nations and Hong Kong has to offer. To play alongside the names of Alex Blackwell (Australia), Suzie Bates (New Zealand), Charlotte Edwards (England) and Akanksha Kohli is invaluable”

Women’s Head Coach, Richard Waite, said, “I am extremely excited for Mariko to be invited to take part in this match. Not only is she supporting an initiative that she believes in but to have the opportunity to play alongside some of the best International Women’s Cricketers in the world, is an opportunity that doesn’t come round every day.”
