Community Programmes

LCSD Community Courses:

These courses are held within the local community of Hong Kong. Coaches will teach basic cricket skills to kids aged 6-16 through engaging and exciting drills and games. Kids will also be introduced to basic rules of cricket game and modified version of pairs cricket or sixes will be taught. Various levels of cricket will be offered throughout the year (elementary indoor, outdoor and intermediate course) to all for development for anyone who wishes to learn cricket.

No experience is needed for elementary courses. Course is subvented by LCSD, please find more details and application form in the link below.

JCS Academy

This course is designed for students from our JCS programs who wishes to get more training outside of school Beginners of cricket are also welcome, the course will focus on developing basic skills through fun modified games. Program targets to reach out to more local Chinese in the community! The senior session will start to introduce kids to hardball cricket. 

Junior: 8-12 yrs (5:00-6:30pm)

Senior: 13-17 yrs (6:30-8:00pm)

LCSD Young Athletes Cricket Training Scheme: (Start in Sept 2017)

This course is for those who wish to continue cricket after completion of community training courses. This will be a transition from plastic to hardball training. Coaches will focus more on skills improvement in areas: batting, bowling as well as catching and throwing. Selection will be held in August and course runs in 3 phrases from September to May. Basic equipment (pads, bats, helmet) will be provided to begin with but participants are encouraged to purchase own set of equipment if they wish to pursue cricket.
