ACC Women's Twenty20 Championships 2009: Malaysia - 3 to 11 July 2009

Twelve teams from the Asia region headed to Kuala Lumpur to contest the inaugural ACC Women's Twenty20 Championship from 3rd to 11th July 2009. Hong Kong was grouped with UAE, China, Kuwait, Oman and hosts Malaysian while pre-tournament favourites, Nepal, are grouped with Thailand, Singapore, Qatar, Bhutan and Iran.

After breezing through the group stage, Hong Kong progressed to the semi-final stage, where they faced the strong Nepal team. A seven wicket victory over Nepal took Hong Kong into the final where they contested a thrilling match against Thailand.

The HKCA wishes to thank Cathay Pacific Airways for providing special baggage arrangements for the team.
