Babar Hayat became the first Hong Kong player to score a First Class double century as Hong Kong defeated PNG by an innings and 29 runs in the ICC Intercontinental Cup.
Hayat hit an unbeaten 214 to give Hong Kong a first innings lead of 111, before spinners Ehsan Khan (5-13) and Nadeem Ahmed (4-43) skittled PNG for just 82.
It’s the second ever First Class victory for Hong Kong after they beat UAE in the Intercontinental Cup in 2015.
