Diasqua Little Sai Wan JKN snatched the Elite League title with their third win in five days against KCC Infidels who will be relegated to division two next season.
It was a comfortable victory in the end for LSWCC who overcame a disastrous first over where they lost two wickets, including Hong Kong captain Babar Hayat.
Their innings was steadied by Waqas Khan (88) and Ehsan Khan (69), who added 155 runs for the fourth wicket.
The final total of 263-6 was never challenged by the Infidels who were all out for 136. Ehsan, completed an outstanding all-round game, taking 4-23 from his 10 overs.
The victory meant that JKN pipped KCC Templars, who were unlucky runners up given they only lost one game and had a washout all season.
JKN faced three games in five days knowing they needed to win all three to win the league. Victories over HKCC Wanderers, Pakistan Association and then the Infidels sealed the title.
"Really excited to win the league," LSWCC captain Babar Hayat said.
"I was away for two matches before this group of three and the guys won those two, so the momentum was built in those matches so when I came back we played really well."
"We have a young side, five guys are under 17 and they were excited to play back-to-back games at a high level."
"There are a lot of young guys in the team in our side and KCC who are under 15 and under 16 and they are scoring runs and bowling lost of overs in the Elite League and that's a great sign for the Hong Kong cricket team."
"As a team we had a dinner last night with the members, coaches and players to celebrate - we all had a great night."
