Domestic Cricket Preview - 25th Sept 2018

24日 09月

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! A time to spend with your family, have some mooncakes, and of course, play some cricket! Here are all the games we have scheduled for the day after Mid-Autumn Festival:

Juniors

The Discovery Bay Cricket Ground (AKA: North Plaza Pitch) hosts its first set of CHK League games this Tuesday, starting with the U-11s. The DB Smashers Blues face the HKCC Cobras at 9 AM for a Pool 1 game, followed by the DBS Reds facing the HKCC Rebels 10:30 AM in a Pool 3 game.

Following on from these two U-11s the DBCG hosts its first U-13 Premier Division match (2:50 PM) – DBS White playing their first game of the season against DLSW Cheetahs, who are coming off a win against LMC U-13s over the weekend. There are also two U-13s scheduled for PKVR Reservoir – the LMC U-13s will look for their first win against the unbeaten KCC Crusaders at 9:30 AM, following which the KCC Buccaneers look for their first win against the also unbeaten HKCC Optimists at 1 PM.

We also have three U-17 T20 games scheduled, all with 9:30 AM starts. At Mission Road the DLSW Cheetahs take on LMC U-17s in an Elite Division game, while the DLSW Tigers travel over to HKCC to face the Nomads, and KCC play host to PACC. With all but three U-17 T20 games being weather affected so far, all 6 teams will just be hoping to get on the park to play some cricket.

Mens

Another big day for the Saturday League, with three games scheduled.

In Division 1, both PACC and USRC/MCC will look to get their season underway, as they face each other at Mission Road. Both sides are filled with top quality talent, and will want to start their seasons with a big win.

In Division 2, Taipans CC will look to get their own season started -after two abandoned games- when they face HKU CC at PKVR Park. HKU are coming off a tough loss to the HKCC Witherers over the weekend, and will look to bounce back hard. An exciting match up beckons.

The HKCC Witherers are in action too, and will be taking the confidence from their win into their game against the Centaurs, who have had both of their games rained off so far, and will be eager to get on the park.
