HK Domestic Cricket Preview - 18th and 19th November 2017

Saturday Championship

The domestic fixtures kick off on Saturday afternoon at the Hong Kong Cricket Club with CCC Jing Sun taking on the HKCC Nomads. CCC Jing Sun will be looking to register their first win of the season against a Nomads outfit full of confidence following a comfortable 42 run win over Pakistan Assocation last weekend. In division 2 the DLSW Spartans play host to the Taipan-Sky Warriors at Mission Road and will be looking to continue their strong start to the season, having only dropped one game. Taipan-Sky Warriors, having only played two matches so far this season with one being a washout and will hope to kick start their campaign this weekend. The final Saturday Championship match at PKVR Park sees the students of HKU clash with Craigengower’s Hung See. HKU will be looking to improve their record to 3-2 with a victory this weekend.

Sunday Elite

The Kowloon Cricket Club will be hosting their annual Corporate 6’s tournament meaning only one Sunday Elite match will take place this weekend at the Hong Kong Cricket Club between the HKCC Wanderers and DLSWC DTC Mobile. Both were lucky to escape with shared points due to weather last weekend and with both teams winless so far this season, this weekend’s match up looms as a decisive one in the fight to avoid relegation.

All Stars Tournament

The Men’s Hong Kong National team will take on the Domestic All Stars in a 50 over fixture at Mission Road on Sunday. This match provides the National team, who will depart on their tour to the UAE on the 21st of November, with a great opportunity to prepare for the all-important 7th round of the World Cricket League.
