HKCA Executive Committee elected at AGM

The HKCA AGM was held on the 22nd September.

The President, Mr. Rodney Miles, was re-elected.

The Chairman, Mr. Mike Walsh, stepped down at this meeting and was warmly thanked for his enormous contributions to Hong Kong cricket. He was also presented with an engraved silver plate detailing those contributions.

Dr. John Cribbin was elected to succeed him.

Mr. Justin Pearce was re-elected as Treasurer. An election was conducted for the post of Secretary and Mr. Jonathan Cummings was supported by a vote of 24 to 8.

The President undertook to members that greater efforts would be put in to fixturing and facilities to improve access to more cricket for members. Development of the game would also remain a priority. The success of the national teams was also acknowledged, particularly the men's senior team.

In addition, the President stressed the importance for the Association to embrace governance reform in the coming months. Proposals were in preparation and the membership would be fully consulted within the season.
