Hong Kong ACC Emerging Teams Tournament Men's Squad Announcement

Cricket Hong Kong have announced the Hong Kong Men’s Squad to compete at the ACC Emerging Teams Tournament to be held in Bangladesh from the 12th November - 25th November, 2019.

The format for the tournament is 50 overs and will involve 8 countries; India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan, UAE, Oman, Hong Kong. The 8 countries will be split into two pools with the top two teams in each team progressing through to the finals.

Hong Kong’s finds itself in a pool with hosts Bangladesh as well as India and Nepal. Full member nations (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan) have an age cap and are permitted to send Under 23 squads. Associate members are permitted to send their full squad.

Hong Kong Men’s Coach Trent Johnston had this to say “It’s an exciting time for Hong Kong Cricket, we now embark on a 50-over campaign and the opportunity to work with a new crop of players that now enter this phase.”

The team departs for Bangladesh on the 12th November. This tournament will be closely followed by the ICC Challenge League B tournament to be held in Oman from the 30th November - 13th December.

18 November - India vs Hong Kong
