More than 90 domestic cricketers are up for selection in the Hong Kong T20 Blitz domestic player draft to be held on Saturday January 7, with the event to streamed LIVE on Hong Kong's Facebook page.
The players, who registered their nominations in December, were required to have played in the domestic Hong Kong Premier League or Elite League this season. Six contracted players that are not yet part of a franchise will also be in the draft.
In December, each franchise selected their three retained players, and with squads of 15 containing up to five overseas players, it is expected around 35 of the 94 players nominated will be selected in the draft.
Each franchise is required to select at least one player from Hong Kong's Chinese representative squad, the Dragons.
The draft will be streamed LIVE on Hong Kong's Facebook page at 3pm HKT.
