Hong Kong U19s qualify for semi-finals of CWC qualifiers

Hong Kong will enter the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers Asia Division 2 semi finals unbeaten after winning all four of their group matches in Malaysia.

Top spot was secured in Group B with a six wicket victory over Oman, in which captain Jhata Subramanyan claimed 5-29 including a hat-trick! That performance helped dismiss Oman for just 139, with Hong Kong knocking off the runs losing just four wickets. Full Scorecard.

Hong Kong will now play Singapore in the Semi-finals on Wednesday.

In the third match Hong Kong scored a huge victory over Thailand, with Waqas Khan starring with both bat and ball, scoring 66 and taking 3-11. Scorecard on CricInfo.

In their second match against Kuwait, Hong Kong triumphed by six wickets thanks Sikander Zafar's four wickets and Harapreet Singh's half-century. Scorecard on CricInfo.

Earlier, Hong Kong Under 19s made a great start to the tournament, defeating UAE by 61 runs, with Waqas Khan named man of the match for his 77 with the bat and 2-29 with the ball.

The tournament is structured with two groups of five, with the top two from each pool going into the semi-finals. The winner is guaranteed qualification to the next round of qualifiers.<
