Hong Kong's women's team are unbeaten after three matches of the ICC Women's World T20 Qualifiers for the Asia region. They share the top of the table with Thailand, who have also had two wins and a no-result in the first week of the tournament.
Against China today, Hong Kong defeated China by 52 runs with Keenu Gill and Mariko Hill scoring 48 apiece in HK's total of 4-129.In reply Marina Lamplough (2-9), Gill (1-12) and Chan Sau Ha (1-19) were among the wickets in restricting China to 6-77.

With two matches remaining against UAE (24th Nov) and co-leaders Thailand (26th of Nov), Hong Kong will have to remain on their game, with only two of the six teams going through to the global qualifiers in the Netherlands next year.
Coach Richie Waite said the women were enjoying the tour and improving with every game.
"As it stands right now we are where want to be," Waite said.
"As long as we are in the top two then we are in control of where we want to be."
"Girls are confident but we still haven't put a full performance in yet. This game we batted really well but the energy wasn't quite there in the field but we had a good score on the board."
"Looking at our squad we've been in this situation before having made a good start in a tournament and dropped off so they've had that failure and had the opportunity to learn from that. We're in a good position and prepared for all scenarios."
