Hong Kong suffered a 59-run loss in sweltering conditions in Sydney's west against NSW 2nd XI. But in a match where Hong Kong were able to test themselves against some of Sydney's best cricketers pushing for selection Sheffield Shield and beyond, the visitors were not disgraced. In fact for much of the game, Hong Kong were in a position to win. After having bowled out NSW 2nd XI for 182 on the back of spinners Nadeem Ahmed (3-22) and Ehsan Khan (3-46), Hong Kong were 59-1 in reply. However, the loss of Babar Hayat for 27 sparked a collapse and Hong Kong were dismissed 123. Nizakat Khan could not repeat his heroics from Sunday and was dismissed for 10 batting at four.
