In the early morning match, DLSWCC Wasps and CCC Fung Wong fought out a close game with the CCC women prevailing in the end.

CCC won the toss and elected to bowl first. Manpreet Kaur opened the innings for DLSWCC Wasps and she top-scored with 43 in their total of 4/122 from twenty overs.

In reply, CCC Fung Wong lost two early wickets but an unbeaten 70 from Kary Chan got them over the mark in the 17th over. The unbroken third wicket partnership garnered 118 runs.

At PKVR Reservoir: DLSWCC Wasps 4/122 in 20 overs lost to CCC Fung Wong 2/123 in 16.2 overs by eight wickets.

The second match of the day saw champions HKCC Willow Wielders comfortably beat KCC Maidens by 30 runs.

The Willow Wielders batted first after being sent in by the Maidens’ skipper Renee Montgomery. However, it was her opposite, Mariko Hill, who powered the HKCC team to 5/140 from their 20 overs. Hill hit 60 and Yasmin Daswani scored 43, with the pair adding 113 runs for the third wicket.

Mariko Hill then grabbed three wickets for twelve runs as the KCC Maidens were restricted to 8/110 in their reply. For the Maidens, Renee Montgomery scored 25 while Keenu Gill hit 34.

At PKVR Reservoir: HKCC Willow Wielders 5/140 from 20 overs beat KCC Maidens 8/110 from 20 overs by 30 runs.

In the day’s final match, HKCC Cavaliers walloped USRC by 218 runs.

Batting first after winning the toss, the HKCC Cavaliers openers piled on the runs in an unbroken partnership of 252 with Mary Henderson smashing an unbeaten 135 and Lemon Cheung finishing on 73 not out.

Facing a massive chase, the USRC batters had no answers to the HKCC bowling attack and they slumped to 34 all out. Kris Chui was the best of the Cavaliers’ bowlers as she collected 3/3 from 1.5 overs.

At PKVR Reservoir: HKCC Cavaliers 0/252 from 20 overs beat USRC 34 from 12.5 overs by 218 runs.
