2001-02 Domestic Cricket
Please note the following points:
1. Cup Rules
The rules are clearly stated in the Handbook and on the website. There have been NO changes to this AND no change since last season! It is the responsibility of the Umpires AND Captains to familiarize themselves with the rules BEFORE the game.
2. Sat/Sun Cup Balls
It was agreed unanimously at the last League & Cup Management Committee meeting that 'Dukes' balls would be tested in both this year's Cup competitions. There are separate types of ball for the Sat & Sun Cups. Captains & Umpires are reminded that, if they are provided with 'Dukes' balls, they should use them. Comments, favourable or adverse, will then be called for. This trial is in the interests of HK cricket and all Captains are requested to cooperate.
3. Player Eligibility
Sunday Cup squads must be submitted to the HKCA by 5:00 pm on Friday 8th March. Failure to comply may result in the disqualification of the team from the Sunday Cup. Only players who are registered members of the HKCA may play in the Sunday Cup.
There are no home teams in the Saturday or Sunday Cup. Team captains should liase with each other regarding arrangements for lunch and teas. Both teams will be responsible for providing balls. Games will start as per the times of league games.
4. Scoresheets
Accurately completed scoresheets must be submitted to the HKCA by midday on the Monday following the games.
