ALL STARS SERIES 2020 – SERIES LAUNCH

Cricket Hong Kong announces the CHK All Stars Series 2020 to be held at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground from the 11th – 18th December 2020.

The series will see Hong Kong’s international heroes and best domestic players battling it out across three brand new teams to become the All Stars 2020 Champions.

Cricket Hong Kong General Manager - High Performance Mark Farmer had this to say: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the All Stars Series. With the absence of International cricket the All Stars Series is going to provide an exciting and competitive platform for Hong Kong’s best cricketers to showcase their skills both domestically and around the world.”

Both the T20 and 50 over series will see the introduction of a Power Player allowing teams to play 12 players with a dedicated non-batter and non-bowler.

Cricket Hong Kong will be announcing more details in the lead up to the tournament. Stay tuned for squad announcements, coach’s corner and match previews.

The three teams:

Each team represents one of the major districts in Hong kong.

The Kowloon Lions represent Hong Kong's most populous district shadowed by Lion Rock.

The New Territories Tigers pay homage to the wild Tigers that used to roam the hills of the New Territories.

The Hong Kong Islanders represent Hong Kong's most distinctive landmarks.

The format of the series:

The T20 series will see all three teams compete across 2 days, playing 3 round robin matches followed by a grand final. Winner takes all!

The 50 over competition will see the teams re-drafted with the Hong Kong Islanders taking on the Kowloon Lions in a best of 3 series.

All Stars 50 over series:

9am start: Tuesday 15th December: Hong Kong Islanders vs Kowloon Lions

9am start: Thursday 17th December: Kowloon Lions vs Hong Kong Islanders

9am start: Saturday 19th December: Hong Kong Islanders vs Kowloon Lions
