The DTC Hong Kong T20 Blitz has started in dramatic fashion with Hung Hom JD Jaguars edging GII Lantau Galaxy Riders in a Super Over.

Jaguars’ batsman Nizakat Khan belted 52 off 20 balls in a man-of-the-match performance. Khan scored the Jaguars’ total score of 21 runs in the super over, which proved too great for the Galaxy Riders.

Earlier, Galaxy Riders’ batsman Mohammad Awais made a blistering start and hit an unbeaten 41 from 15 deliveries to help his side reach 2/75. The Jaguars responded through Nizakat and Aussie Craig Simmons (19* off 10 balls) who matched the score.

They required only one to win off the final ball but Nizakat was run out on the final delivery.
