Cricket fans are in for a treat as Canada, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, China have announced a Men’s One-Day Series set to take place in Hong Kong later this month! This tournament will see the Canada team visiting Hong Kong for the first time and brings together three formidable teams looking to kick-start their various campaigns to qualify for 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup!

The series is scheduled to take place from 31st January 2024 to 5th February 2024 with all matches to be played at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. Each team will face off against the other once in a round-robin format, followed by a final between the top two teams on 4th February. The 3rd place team will get to play a game against Hong Kong, China ‘A” on the 5th, which will see a team of emerging players from Hong Kong vying to make their mark in international cricket.

The cricket boards of Canada, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, China have collaborated to organize this series, highlighting the growing interest and development of cricket in these associations. Burji Shroff, Chairperson of Cricket Hong Kong, China, said "We extend a warm invitation to cricket fans from around the world to watch and support this one-day series. We look forward to a showcase of top-class cricket talent, and to host Canada and Malaysia during their stay here in Hong Kong.”

Mohammed Iqbal Ali bin Kassim Ali, President of Malaysia Cricket Association, said “We are happy to continue our ongoing partnership with Cricket Hong Kong, China, and these games will be great preparation for our Men’s team as they look forward to competing in the ICC World Cup Challenge League Qualifiers to be held in Malaysia in the second half of February.”
