13 December 2018

Men’s

Sunday Elite

With some of the national squad back in the country after the Emerging Teams Asia Cup, we are set to see two Division 1 and one Division 2 games get underway this Sunday. At Mission Road 9:20 AM, DLSW JKN play PACC Elite in a Div. 1 mid-table clash, with bot sides jostling for 3rd place. At HKCC 10 AM, the HKCC Scorpions play host to USRC/MCC Elite – both sides in the relegation zone at the moment, looking for a crucial win to give them some cushion. And then at 10 AM at KCC, the unbeaten KCC Infidels will look to continue their charge for promotion when they play the bottom-ranked CHK Dragons.

Saturday Championship

On Saturday a pair of compelling match-ups in each division await us. At Mission Road we have title-contenders PACC Championship playing the HKCC Nomads, who are facing relegation and are in desperate need for a victory. And at KCC, it’s a derby game – bottom ranked Saracens taking on mid-table Tartars in a KCC vs KCC matchup. In Division 2 at PKVR Park, Taipans-PACC will look to continue their fine form against CCC Hung See, and a win can see them challenge for a promotion spot. Meanwhile, CCC will be looking to add another big scalp to their collection this season. And finally, over at GDB expect another high-scoring thriller as 5th placed HKU CC take on 2nd placed Kai Tak CC. Both sides are unbeaten at this venue so far, and expect plenty of fireworks when their powerful top orders take the field.

Women’s

The unbeaten DLSW Wasps cross paths with an impressive looking CCC Fung Wong unit this Sunday 8 AM at PKVR Reservoir in the Women’s 35-Over League. Both sides are battling for the top spot, and so this match up will be crucial. And then in the afternoon, the Cavaliers and the KCC Maidens will both look to continue their win streaks in their second match of the season. The Cavaliers won their first game early in November, and will look for a repeat performance while the Maidens will want to avenge that loss.

Juniors

Under-17

A pair of 35-Over games are set to take place in each division this weekend. In the Premier Division, the USRC Premier U17s will look to turn their season around against the unbeaten HKCC Nomads at HKCC on Saturday morning. The Nomads have had a good start, and are on track to cruise into the Finals. Meanwhile at Mission Road, DLSW Tigers play KCC in each side’s second game of the season- the Tigers winning their first against PACC while KCC copped a loss at the hands of the Nomads. An exciting game awaits us. And then in the Elite Division, on Saturday at GDB, the Lantau Lions will look to stay unbeaten against the DLSW Lions, who are coming off their first win. And then on Sunday LMC will hunt for their first win at GDB, against the DLSW Cheetahs, who are a couple of wins away from securing a spot in the finals.

Under-15

Under-15 action set to resume this weekend, with the DLSW Cheetahs playing the HKCC Witherers in a 30-Over Elite Division game at GDB. Both sides lost in the Semi-Finals of the recently concluded T20 League, and will be looking to kick off their seasons with a win here.

Under-13

And lastly, the U-13s are set for a busy weekend, playing their final set of games for 2018. In the Premier Division, the HKCC Scorpions play LMC at PKVR on Saturday. Both sides sit bottom of the table, and will be looking to end their seasons on a high note with a confidence boosting win. And then on Sunday at KGV, table toppers KCC Crusaders will look to hold off a challenge 3rd placed USRC U13. KCC have all but booked a spot for themselves in the Semis, while USRC are still looking to hold off DLSW Cheetahs and DBS White. In the Elite Division, we see 3rd placed KCC Buccaneers take on bottom ranked Lantau Lions at PKVR on Saturday. They will want to bounce back from a big loss last weekend, while Lantau keep searching for that elusive victory. And then at KGV, table-toppers India Club Green will look to create more distance between them and the rest when they play the 5th placed HKCC Optimists.
