Cricket Hong Kong, China selectors have announced the squad for the upcoming Men’s East Asia Cup 2024 to be played at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground from the 14^th February to 17^th February 2024.

The Men’s East Asia Cup will see Hong Kong, China, China, and Japan play in a double round robin T20I tournament during the week of Chinese New Year. The top two finishers will proceed to the Final in the morning of 17^th February 2024, following an exhibition game in the afternoon.

Hong Kong, China captain Nizakat Khan and vice-captain Yasim Murtaza will lead the team for the third Men’s Home Tournament this season, following the Hong Kong Men’s One Day Series and One Day Bilateral Series with Malaysia. Jamie Atkinson and Ateeq Iqbal will return to the squad, while Jason Lui and Dhananjaya Rao are included in the squad and will be looking to make their T20I debut for Hong Kong, China.

Simon Willis, Head Coach of Hong Kong, China Men’s Team said, “Switching from One Day to T20 cricket and we hope to deliver some exciting cricket to the fans especially during the Chinese New Year Holidays!” “There are few new faces in the team and I hope these players can use this tournament as a platform to demonstrate their skills!”
