Hong Kong set to play India in high profile match-up - Unimoni Asia Cup 2018 - 18th September

18 September 2018

Hong Kong are set to face India tonight, 7:30 PM, in what is set to be the most widely followed game in the Associate's recent history.
With over a billion fans worldwide, matches featuring the Indian teams often draws tens of millions of viewers, with hundreds of thousands more following online via various social media platforms.
This game will be India's first of the Unimoni Asia Cup 2018. It's a short turn around for the side, having just concluded a 9 week long tour of England on 11th September. They will be without their talismanic skipper Virat Kohli, and are scheduled to play back-to-back games, with a match against Pakistan tomorrow night.
This presents a golden opportunity for Hong Kong to upset the Number 2 ranked ODI team in the world, and to make their mark on world cricket.
Hong Kong skipper Anshuman Rath was quoted as saying "Hopefully we can adapt to the conditions, and you know India is another powerhouse, probably the best white ball team in the world. So we are going in with no pressure, with a smile on our face and to try and show the world what we can do.”
This will be Hong Kong's second game of the Asia Cup, having lost their first game Pakistan by 8 wickets on Sunday night. The match will be broadcast live on Star Sports and OSN Sports. Regular updates will also be provided on CHK's various social media platforms, and the game can be followed live on ESPNCricinfo, Cricbuzz, and on the ICC and ACC websites.
