Mariko Hill leads the Hong Kong Women’s team for 2019 Thailand T20 Smash

Mariko Hill has been named as captain for the upcoming Thailand T20 Smash to be played in Bangkok from 8th-17th January 2019. The squad features an excellent blend of youth and experience and it is notable that the depth of the squad is continuing to improve with a number of players becoming eligible and also competing in overseas competitions.

Hong Kong will be joined in Group B by hosts Thailand, Indonesia, Bhutan and Myanmar. Group A will be made up of UAE, Nepal, Namibia, Malaysia and Thailand A. All matches will be played using the T20 format with Hong Kong’s group fixtures listed below:

· Saturday 12th January – Hong Kong v Indonesia (AIT Ground)

· Sunday 13th January – Hong Kong v Bhutan (TCG Ground)

· Monday 14th January – Hong Kong v Thailand (TCG Ground)

· Wednesday 16th January – Hong Kong v Myanmar (TCG Ground)

· Friday 18th January – Semi Finals

· Saturday 19th January – Finals Day
