Sunday Championship

The Sunday Championship was finally decided on Sunday, 8^th May 2016 at Mission Road where KCC Templars thrashed Shaffi’s Vagabonds by 220 runs to claim the 2015-16 title.

Templars batted first after winning the toss and they racked up an impressive 4/316 from 49 overs with Ryan Campbell smashing 157. Other useful contributions came from Roy Lamsam (32) and Jamie Atkinson (55) while Dylan Dearing and Waqas Barkat finished unbeaten on 26 and 31 respectively.

The Templar’s bowlers made early inroads into the Vagabonds batting line-up with Dan Pascoe grabbing four wickets as Vagabonds slumped to 5/39. Adil Jahangir hit 34 in the middle-order but his was the only score of note and the end came quickly after his dismissal with Vagabonds all out for 96 in 28 overs.

At Mission Road: KCC Templars 4/316 from 49 overs beat Shaffi’s Vagabonds 96 from 28 overs by 220 runs.
