Tabarak Dar has been appointed as umpire for the upcoming East and Central Asia leg of the ICC WT20 Qualifiers, to be held in Malaysia from 3rd to 12th October.
The Qualifiers will feature host nation Malaysia, as well as Nepal, Singapore, Bhutan, Thailand, Myanmar and China. Nepal have recently earned ODI status, and along with Singapore and Malaysia took part in the Asia Cup Qualifiers against Hong Kong last month, while China will be coming off a fine showing in the East Asia Cup.
Tabarak recently stood in the WCL Division 4 tournament held in Malaysia, and is on the ICC panel of Development Umpires for 2018. We congratulate him on the appointment, and wish him the best of luck!
