Women’s T20 Cup

Two matches were played in the penultimate round of competition for the 2015-16 Women’s T20 Cup with KCC Maidens and HKCC Cavaliers tasting victory.

In the early match, KCC Maidens scored an easy ten-wicket victory over USRC. The USRC women elected to bat first after winning the toss but they only managed to score 54 in 15 overs. Anum Aftab was the pick of the bowlers for KCC – her four over spell earned figures of 3/12. Anum then performed with the bat, hitting 20 not out as KCC eased to victory in just 5.2 overs.

At PKVR Reservoir: USRC 54 from 15 overs lost to KCC Maidens 0/55 from 5.2 overs by ten wickets.

In the second match, HKCC Cavaliers scored a 27-run win over CCC Fung Wong.

The Cavaliers elected to bat first upon winning the toss and they scored 9/97 from their 20 overs with no less than five batters being run out. CCC Fung Wong’s skipper Pull To hit 31 in the second innings but hers was a lone hand as her team could only manage 7/70 from their 20 overs. Alison Siu was the pick of the bowlers for the Cavaliers with figures of 3/11 from four overs.

At PKVR Reservoir: HKCC Cavaliers 9/97 from 20 overs beat CCC Fung Wong 7/70 from 20 overs by 27 runs.
