CHK Premier League T20 2019-20 - Match 9 Preview – USRC vs HKCC – 29th September 2019 at HKCC

27 September 2019

Match 9 – United Services Recreation Club vs Hong Kong Cricket Club
Sunday 29th September 2019 – Hong Kong Cricket Club – 1:30 PM start

The final round of the CHK Premier League T20 is upon us, and while KCC and PACC battle it out in a winner-takes-all clash at KCC, both HKCC and USRC will look to end their campaigns strong with a win up the hill.

USRC are yet to win a game the tournament, but have shown lots of promise. Young 16-year old left-arm-spinner Ehsan Muhammad is second in the wicket-taking charts, with 7 wickets in just two games, while Skhawat Ali has managed to get a start in all three innings so far, including a fifty against KCC. Their batting lineup struggled in two games at Mission Road, but performed well at KCC, and they might enjoy the smaller boundaries at HKCC. They possess plenty of talented players, it's just a question of all of them putting in a big performance at once.

As for HKCC - last year's defending champions have had a tough run so far. A super-over win over DLSWCC was followed by big losses at the hands of PACC and KCC. The bowling attack in particular has suffered, with a total of 10 different bowlers used in their 3 games so far. The batting has had several good cameos, but they're still looking for their first substantial score, with a team highest of 157 and an individual highest of just 48 so far. They will be hungry for a win in front of their home crowd to end on a positive note.

With nothing else but pride on the line, expect some fearless cricket between two teams determined to finish the competition strong! Live scores for this game will be available on Cricinfo and CricHQ, with regular score updates being provided during our broadcast of the game at KCC. So be sure to tune in to the action and show your support!
